Task force members from both sides also participated for an hour

Prime Minister KP Oli and Janata Samajwadi Party Chairman Mahanta Thakur had a three-hour long discussion on Thursday. Thakur had infiltrated Baluwatar at 9 am on Thursday when all the major parties were eyeing the party after it became important in the political situation.

According to sources, Thakur along with Jaspada task force members Savendranath Sukla and Laxman Lal Karna had also entered Baluwatar at 9 this morning. Subhash Nembang, Vishnu Poudel and Rajan Bhattarai, who were on the PM’s side in the task force along with PM Ali, also reached baluwatar.

A source told Madhesh Update that the members of the task force including Thakur and PM Oli sat for an hour and then PM Oli and Thakur discussed for two hours alone.

Just last week, Jaspa had submitted 208 documents to the Home Ministry on the issues of Madhes and Tharuhat movement against its leaders and cadres.

After the issues raised by Prime Minister Oli Jaspa were withdrawn, the release of prisoners and the issue of amending the constitution became positive, Jaspa took the dialogue forward. However, JSP leaders Upendra Yadav and Baburam Bhattarai have been opposing it. Yadav and Bhattarai had met Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba only last Tuesday.
